We invite you to arrive early and visit our exhibit and resource tables starting at 8:00 a.m.
The Quest is an event for anyone whose life has been touched by and wants to learn more about cancer. Come and listen to some of our leading 51²è¹Ý Cancer Center and community scientists who will address:
• Role of microbes in the health of humans and other animals – Margaret McFall-Ngai, PhD
• Clinical perspective of the human microbiome in health and illness – Scott Kuwada, MD
• Role of the oral microbiome in health and disease – Brenda Hernandez, PhD, MPH
• Impact of diet on the gut microbiome in health and disease – Carol Boushey, PhD
• Relationship between the gut microbiome and obesity – Loic Le Marchand, MD, PhD
• Alterations to the human microbiome that lead to liver and bile duct cancer – Wei Jia, PhD
