CB Seminar: Modulation of Immune Responses by Metabolic Reprogramming
May 28, 11:30am - 12:30pmMānoa Campus, 51²è¹Ý Cancer Center, Sullivan Conference Center
Featuring Jianxun (Jim) Song, PhD R.L. Bricker Endowed Professor of Cancer Immunology in the Department of Microbial Pathogenesis and Immunology at Texas A&M University College of Medicine. Metabolic pathways are deeply intertwined with immune cell function and fate. In this talk, Dr. Jim Song will discuss how targeted metabolic reprogramming can reshape immune responses, with a focus on therapeutic strategies for cancer and autoimmune diseases. Drawing on recent preclinical models and translational research, the talk will highlight innovative approaches using engineered microbes and metabolic modulators to fine-tune immune activity within the tumor microenvironment.
